Volunteer at the National Ambulance Centermonk

The Ambulance Center is inviting experienced medical instructors from the United States to come to Nepal for the opportunity to be instructors of the country’s first training course for ambulance staff. In addition to teaching students, volunteer instructors will help develop the course curriculum and plan lessons and training activities.

Since this is the first course of its kind to be offered in Nepal, no one in the country is fully qualified to teach the Ambulance Center’s EMT course. Volunteers will train Nepali medical instructors to teach the aspects of the course that the Nepalis are not adequately familiar with. This will eventually produce a self-sustaining team of outstanding Nepali EMT instructors.

If you are not qualified to EMTsbe an instructor for the EMT course, we still welcome your support. The Ambulance Center will benefit from the help of volunteers with a wide range of skills and knowledge. You can assist the project in Nepal or in your home country.

If you would like to volunteer at the Center, or if you want to learn more about the opportunity, please contact info@ambulancecenter.org.np. We can put you in contact with current or past Ambulance Center volunteers who will be happy to talk with you about the experience of volunteering, and who can help to coordinate your trip to Nepal.
