Health Care Foundation - Nepal

The National Ambulance Center is a program of Health Care Foundation - Nepal (HECAF).

Health Care Foundation - Nepal (HECAF) is a non-profit non-governmental organization based in Nepal. The organization works in the fields of health, environment, and disaster medicine, and has been providing services to the common people of Nepal for more than 10 years. HECAF’s projects focus on issues that are not adequately addressed by the government and NGOs, especially Nepal’s growing health care needs. HECAF

HECAF operates the National Kidney Center, which is the largest dialysis center in Nepal and the second-largest in South Asia. It gives free dialysis to the needy and is the only center in Nepal that offers dialysis to patients with HIV. The organization also works to improve the health status of Nepal by organizing rural health camps, mobile hospitals, and blood donation camps that benefit people living in areas where the access to medical treatment is severely inadequate. Their public education programs educate people about health issues that many Nepalis are unaware of, such as pollution and disease prevention.

As HECAF’s objectives include providing emergency treatment using ambulances equipped with state-of-the-art resources and aiding people affected by natural disasters and accidents, they strongly support the National Ambulance Center and are providing logistical support for the program.

The Ambulance Center shares HECAF’s focus on helping the underprivileged. For everyone in the Kathmandu Valley to have access to emergency medical care, financially disadvantaged patients will not be required to pay for the ambulance services. To make this possible, please consider helping the National Ambulance Center.
